Hayden Landon opens RMIS with the idea that there must be a better way to manage insurance compliance than a file full of paper certificates of insurance. RMIS starts offering monitoring packages to transportation brokers so that they can outsource the tedious process of acquiring insurance certificates, track the coverages and limits, and get new certificates when the existing certs expire.
RMIS took its expertise in the transportation industry and began offering services to the property management industry to track compliance for vendors and suppliers.
RMIS launched its first client supplier onboarding website. For the first time, property managers could bring a new supplier onboard into their system completely online with no manual intervention. The RMIS website streamlined onboarding by requiring the correct documents and information to be submitted and then automatically starting the tracking of compliance based on vendor type, property ownership, etc.
Leveraging the RMIS experience in the PM industry, RMIS introduced the idea that transportation brokers could eliminate their 'Carrier Packet' and streamline the onboarding of new carriers electronically. This took the industry by storm as brokers were able to reduce onboarding times by up to 90% and double, triple or quadruple the amount of new carriers that they could bring on board which translated directly to moving more freight and increased profits.
With over 150,000 carriers in the RMIS database, RMIS released a tool that allows transportation brokers to find qualified carriers that they can use today. Instead of cold calls and spending time with carriers that eventually fail the broker's minimum requirements, carriers can be found that already match the broker's unique requirements.
Building on the RMIS Carrier Directory, RMIS Onboarding Product expands functionality with carrier match.
RMIS relocates to expanded office on Sterling Center Drive.
RMIS launched its onboarding lite program to address the growing compliance and automation needs in a streamlined fashion.
RMIS took all the knowledge gained from its work with the North American transportation industry and applied it to create a way for European brokers to better onboard and monitor their Transporters. For the first time, European brokers could simplify the Transporter registration process.
Truckstop.com acquires RMIS, marrying the industry's two most respected compliance tools, RMIS and SaferWatch™, to introduce Compliance-as-a-Service (CaaS) to the freight world, furthering our joint commitment to giving brokers what they need to efficiently evaluate carriers for safety, industry, and financial requirements.
